Of all the things that disciples of the Word of YHVH have to deal with, the battles that we must fight can be the most tiresome. It is far too easy to transfer to the person attacking us the blame for this battle instead of knowing and understanding that the person is merely a pawn of HaSatan, who is using that person to bring both you and the Kingdom of YHVH down. Realize, HaSatan has nothing to lose. He has already been stripped of his position as the covering Cherub, and kicked out of Heaven, and defeated at Calvary, so what els does he have to lose when he attacks you and me with such ferocity?

Talking to soldiers that have been in wars, you will hear some that will say that the lines of battle sometimes became blurred. So to is it when we are in spiritual battle that sometimes we allow the lines to be blurred, and that is when the battle becomes even more personal, and we begin to lose our cool, and the enemy wins. It is not that the enemy has to have us completely renouce our Savior, but all he has to do is to get our fears, and our anger, and our emotions to cloud our judgment so that we act out of anger and not out of love for YHVH.

Let us refresh our minds with what the Word of YHVH has told us. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in יהוה, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of יהוה: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Although we see the attacks coming from a person or people, it is really the one to whom they are enslaved that the blame goes for the attack. We can never, as a disciple of the Word, take off our armor because that will be when HaSatan will direct an attack on you. You must know the truth, for even HaSatan can quote Scripture, but that does not mean he will quote it correctly. He is very good at taking passages out of context and twisting the meaning of verses. By having the belt of truth around your waist, you ave quick access to the pure and unadulterated Scripture. This means that you must do, as Paul told Timothy to do, “Study to shew thyself approved unto יהוה, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15) Ultimately, you and you alone are responsible for making sure that you are not living and believing a lie. So we can not depend on any one person, but must always study and find out the truth for ourselves.

We are to have on us the breastplate of righteousness. This is not a checklist to say how much better you are than another person, but rather it is showing what is the fruits of the Spirit. It allows others to see whose side you are on. If you talk differently, act differently, treat others differently, then it is a clear sign that you are not as they are. It is a witness to them that they are the ones trapped in error, and it forces them to either change their ways, or attack what is righteous. By having the breastplate of righteousness on us, it forces HaSatan’s pawns to have to bear false witness against us or to change the laws of the lands so that they can persecute those in the Kingdom of YHVH. There is only one way that we are able to wear this breastplate, and that is if we have sought it before anything else in the world, and we have submitted to His will.

Our feet are to be covered with the preparation of the gospel of peace. This is where we seek not to fight others, but are willing to stand against any attack the Adversary decided to throw at us. What the world does not understand is that we come and preach the gospel in peace and love. If we did not love people, we would not share with them the way of salvation, so that they can break the shackles that have for so long held them down. We do not come seeking to beat anyone over the head with Scripture, but when they come at us in hostility, we are also prepared to fight to defend His cause. We are to be filled with peace, something that others are not filled with. We are filled with peace because we know that no matter what comes, YHVH has already won the war, and that we shall rule and reign with Him for eternity.

The Shield of Faith is so important to us in battle. It is by getting you to lose sight of the One you have placed your faith in, and getting you to act on emotions and not truth, that the Adversary brings you down. By standing strong in your faith, then no matter what, the enemy can not defeat you. When looking at King David, and the trials he went through running from Saul, you see how his faith remained strong. When we are hurt and suffering, it is perfectly alright for us to cry out to YHVH. It is when we blame Him for everything and toss our faith aside that we are committing spiritual suicide. Each and every one of us gets to the point at times when things get out of control and everything seems to be crumbling around us. But this is all a test from YHVH that He has allowed - not caused - to happen to us so that He may see how deep our faith is in Him.

The Helmet of Salvation is the protector of our minds. When we are saved out of the Kingdom of HaSatan into the Kingdom of YHVH, our minds begin transforming. Paul tells us, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of יהוה.” (Romans 12:2) Our minds are totally reprogrammed, little by little, and the viruses that HaSatan put in there to corrupt us are done away with. So as long as we ave on our heads the Helmet of Salvation, HaSatan can not infect us any more. It is when we stop the renewing process by taking off the Helmet of Salvation, that we open our minds back up to HaSatan’s control.

The Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of YHVH is all we need to defend ourselves. When HaSatan attacked Yeshua, all Yeshua did was quote Scripture. HaSatan quoted Scripture as well, but he misquoted it changing the meanings of the verses he quoted. By knowing when a passage is being twisted into saying something it is not, we are able to counter the lie with the truth. It is when you are able to wield the Sword of the Spirit that you are able to fend off the attacks.

Many people know Scripture, but they do not know Scripture. They only know what someone else has told them what Scripture says. They may be able to quote a few verses, but they do not know the full meaning of those verses. Anyone can read Scripture, but if you do not comprehend Scripture, it does you no good. You can read Scripture right before you go to sleep, but that does not make you knowledgeable in the Word. It takes you studying, and spending time with the Spirit, that was sent to lead you into all truth. It takes learning what each word means, and how that He desires you to live. It is not something that studying an hour a day will accomplish. It takes a diligent laborious study that is indepth, where you shut out the world so that you can focus completely on Him.

Prayer is also a key component to the battle. You must stay in constant contact with the King. Let Him know when you are struggling. Let Him kno when you are weary. Give Him the praise, honor, and glory for winning the battle. Prayer is not exclusively for asking and making petitions before Him, but it is also for praising Him, and telling Him how much you love Him and all that He has done for you. It is a conversation, just like you would have with anyone else on this earth. You must realize that He is not far, but is right there with you, at all times. Live your life as the spiritual is the reality and the physical is fantasy.

If you want to see how someone trusted completely in YHVH and His Word, just take a look at young David, when he went up against Goliath. He refused the king’s armor, knowing that YHVH would protect him. He went out proclaiming the Word of YHVH, and showing others where they were wrong. He came peaceably, but when the people of YHVH were threatened, he did not hesitate to fight for YHVH. And he based everything solely on the Word of YHVH.

This is not talking about using the system that men have created so that they can clarify and judge what is and what is not Scriptural. We are not talking theology here, but basic Scripture. This world needs the unadulterated Scripture, and not what religious leaders have put forth. He is the only one that can say you are justified, and if you seek the approval of men, then you will not receive His approval. The Israelites got so caught up in these rules that the religious leaders set down, that even Yeshua said nullified the Word of YHVH. And for centuries, these same things that YHVH condemned Israel for, the religious leaders of the “church” have done as well. But unless you are fully prepared for battle, you will not know that all that these men have done is added more shackles to you and placed you under bondage to them. They have made you twice the son of perdition than they are. Now is the time, for we are never guaranteed another moment of life on this earth, Let’s get right folks and go home.
