    Abraham Seed

Abraham lived 175 year's and had eight son's in all.

Abraham was seventy-five years old when he left Haran set out for the
land of Canaan. The Lord God had told him to "Go forth from your
native land and from your father's house to the land that I will show
you. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will
make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those
who bless you and curse him that curses you; and all the families of
the earth shall bless themselves by you."

Abraham was from a place called Ur in southeastern Mesopotamia, near
the mouth of the Euphrates at the Persian Gulf. His father Terah had
moved Abraham, his grandson Lot the son of Haran (who died in Ur),
and Sarah the wife of Abraham and headed to Canaan, but stoped at
Haran. Nahor (Abraham brother) and his wife Milcah steaded in Ur.

Abraham by his obedus become the chosen seed of God that all nation
would be blessed or cursed by. God promised Abraham a seed "That no
one could count like the stars in the heaven" and Canaan would be for
his seed to possess. Abraham trusted what God told him even though at
that time he had no children.

God made a covenant with Abraham, "To your offspring I will give this
land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates." God also
made a covenant with Abraham tilling him, "he would be a father of
multitude of nations and that He God would make him exceedingly
fertile." God also told Abraham that "He would establish a covenant
between Himself and Abraham, and He will make Abraham exceedingly
numerous. Nations and kings would come forth from him, and that He God
would maintain His covenant with Abraham's offspring to come, and
all the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession, and that Abraham
offspring where to keep the covenant of circumcise." This land God
give Abraham and his offspring was at that time the land of the
Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the
Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the
    Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

Thirteen years after the birth of Ishmael the command was issued to
Abraham that he put the sign of the covenant upon his body and upon
the bodies of the male members of his household. Abraham was
reluctant at first to do the bidding of God, for he feared that the
circumcision of his flesh would raise a barrier between himself and
the rest of mankind. But God said unto him, "Let it suffice thee that
I am God and thy Lord, as it sufficeth the world that I am its God
and its Lord." When Abraham was ninety-nine years old and his son
Ishmael was thirteen years old they were circumcised, and all the
household, homeborn slaves and those that had been brought from
outsiders. In this covenant all his offspring were to keep.

Abraham had Ishmael when he was 86 year's old. Ishmael was born to
him by Sarah's maidservant Hagar, an Egyptian. He was 100 year's old
when Isaac was born to him by Sarah. God told Abraham that Sarah "He
would bless, I will give you a son by her, I will bless her, and she
will give rise to nations; rulers of peoples shall issue from her."
At this Abraham threw himself on his face and laughed, and said to
himself, "How can a child be born to a man a hundred years old, or
Sarah, a woman bear a child at ninety? Then Abraham said to God, "Oh
that Ishmael might live by Your favor! (We can see how much Abraham
loved Ishmael.) But God told Abraham,"Never the less, Sarah your wife
shall bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac; and I will
maintain My covenant with him (not Ishmael) as an everlasting covenant for his
offspring to come. But Ishmael, I have heeded you. I hereby BLESS
him. I will make him fertile and exceedingly numerous. He shall be
the father of twelve chieftains, and I will make of him a great
nation." (We can see that God was going to make a great nation out of
both son's. Ishmael, and Isaac. But Isaac would be the chosen nation.)

A year later Sarai give broth to a son and named him Isaac. When
Isaac was weaned; Sarai not wanting Hagar and the son born by her to
Abraham, Ishmael to be part of Isaac inheritance Sarai told Abraham
to send Hagar and Ishmael away. Abraham was greatly distressed for
Ishmael was his son, but God said to Abraham, "Do not be distressed
over the boy or your slave Hagar; whatever Sarah tells you, do as she
says, for it is through Isaac that offspring shall be continued for
you. As for the son of the slave-woman, Hagar I will make a nation of
him, too, for he is your seed." Early next morning Abraham took some
bread and a skin of water, and gave them to Hagar, and sent her away
with her son Ishmael. They wandered about in the wilderness of Beer-
    sheba.

When Hagar run out of water she left Ishmael under a bush, and went
and set down at a distance for she don't want to see her son die, and
she burst into tears. When God heard the cry of Ishmael, an angel of
God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, " What troubles you,
Hagar? Fear not, for God has heeded the cry of the boy where he is.
Come, lift up the boy and hold him by the hand, for I will make a
great nation of him." Then God opened Hagar's eyes and she saw a well
of water. God was with Ishmael and he grew up. He lived in the
wilderness of Paran and became a bowman. His mother Hagar got a wife
for him from her land of Egypt.

Ishmael had 12 son's Nebaioth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah,
Massa, Hada, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmiah. The son's of Ishmael
dwelt from Havilah, by Shur, which is close to Egypt, all the way to
Asshur; they camped alongside all their kinsmen.

After Sarah's death Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah
and she had 6 son's for Abraham. Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian,
Ishbak, and Eldaah. When it was coming time for Abraham death he gave
gifts while he was still living; and he sent them away from his son
Isaac eastward, to the land of the East. When Abraham breathed his
last it was his two oldest son's Ishmael and Isaac who buried him in
the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the
Hittite, facing Mamre. We can see that Ishmael and Isaac after
Abraham's death, or possibly after Sarah's the two brothers seem to
    live in harmony.

Out of the eight sons Abraham had Ishmael and Isaac was set aside to
    be come great nation's.

We see this two nation's now. The two brothers that who buried there
father Abraham and lived side by side in peace are now at war.

On Hagar flight from Sarah before Ishmael was born she was met by
several angels, and they bade her to return, and they also make
known to her that she would bear a son who should be called Ishmael.
Ishmael is one of six men who have been given a name by God before
their birth, the others being Isaac, Moses, Solomon, Josiah, and the
Messiah Yahshua. We can see that Ishmael and Isaac was given there
    name's by God Himself.

From the seed of Adam to Abraham Ishmael and Isaac came from the same
    seed.

After Adm was banished from the garden of Eden he lived 930 years

They both came from the same father (Abraham) and the same God who
created all things. So why are two brothers fighting over the same God
when they are both chosen by God for the destiny and glory of God.
The One and only God who appoints all to his will.

One was born the son of a free woman and under the covenant; the seed that
Yahshua would come from. That son was Isaac. The other was born of a maidservant
the seed of the world, Egypt. That son was Ishmael.

Thank You! See how we can read something many time and not see the whole of it. This is way we need to stay in the word. And even then the newness of the word is alway coming forth. Blessing in Yahshua!

Abraham had a minimum of eight sons in all, two of these from full-wives (Sarah and Keturah) and one from a pilegesh (concubine) wife (Hagar). However, we also know that he had other pilegesh wives apart from Hagar:

    Gen 25:6
6 But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had...
    NKJV

Therefore Abraham must have had many more than 8 sons.
