Mishpachah Lev-Tsiyon
The End of an Era and the Start of a New
Main Themes:
Minor Themes:
One of the most exciting experiences one can have is to see prophecy fulfilled before your very eyes. And as you know, as a people, we have been waiting for certain things to happen. Both Brother Rustad and I have had visions and dreams of this time, and in particular, the Three Waves and the Fishing Net. Those of you who remember these will recall that a principle feature of both was urgency and the speed at which things happened. Brother Mjølsvik also saw a vision some years back on the seasons (OB 469) we would have to pass through before newness reappeared.
I have been talking to you a lot about gardens lately and I have a tremendous amount to tell you about them still. We have literally been walking around the Garden of Eden learning about all the different trees, herbs, flowers and animals in it. We have learned more about the heavenlies in the last few months than we have throughout our entire history. We count ourselves very blessed indeed.
A week-and-a-half ago I was in open vision for about three hours on and off in which Yahweh showed me many things, some of which I want to share with you today. As some of these visions connect with older visions, I am going to remind you of these also.
In 1995 when NCCG (the New Covenant Church of God) was formed following NCCF (the New Covenant Christian Fellowship) Yahweh showed me a series of visions in which He revealed both what had happened to us as a fellowship and what was to happen in the future (OB 382). The year before he showed us a prophetic vision of a field of ripe corn and on the head of each ear of corn was a tongue of flame (OB 356), just as in the first New Covenant Shavu'ot (Pentecost). This vision is being fulfilled right now, one person at a time, which each ear represents. Finally, you may recall from an even earlier time, a vision of three small harvests, each harvest bigger than the previous one, that coresponded to the Independent Church, NCCF and NCCG, respectively. Little did I know at the time there would be a fourth harvest for then I supposed NCCG would be the last manifestation of the Kingdom. And in a way it was - it was the completeness of the Pentecostal Dispensation, what some believers call the 'Church Age'.
A week-and-a-half ago Yahweh took me into a building where there was a large sukkah tent. It was like the one we used during Sukkot only about ten times bigger, maybe even larger. It was white and held together by metal poles which gave it its framework, and the covering went right down to the ground unlike the ones we use. Under the tent were dozens of collapsable tables which had been cleaned away and were completely bare. I knew then that they had been used for the feasting that we recently partook of in Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles, which ended two weeks ago. As I looked at the inside of the tent I heard a sound of grating metal and I at once knew that the tent was being dismantled. When we took ours down we had all this tubing to disconnect after the tent itself had been removed. And then, for the first time, I realised what was going on: Yahweh was dismantling NCCG, and in particular, the spiritual covering that has been given to those who have come to it for spiritual shelter. And when it has gone, all who were previously covered - who have not since entered the garden - will no longer be spiritually covered by us as a family.
I am reminded of the time when Yah'shua (Jesus) gave all authority to His apostles previously held by the religious leaders of the day. Nobody noticed what was happening, of course, except the apostles and other talmidim (disciples). The national life of Israel went on as usual, the Levites continued administering in the temple and animal sacrifices were still offered. One visible change did take place, you will recall, at the Yom Kippur following Yah'shua's (Jesus') death, resurrection and ascension: the scarlet thread from the Azazel goat, which was pinned to the temple wall, stopped changing colour to white! Though this was noted down by the Rabbis, its significance eluded them because they had already rejected the Messiah. Today, and doubtless for some time, you will still find congregations called 'New Covenant Church of God' in the world who have no idea what this shift from Shavu'ot to Sukkot dispensations is all about because they know nothing of Gan Eden. NCCG as a visible organisation will continue to exist right up until the time of the antichrist when it, along with all other Christian churches, will be exterminated, just as Jewish worship continued in Jerusalem until the zealot revot against Rome that led to the destruction of Jerusalem and the expulsion of all Jews from the Holy Land. The outward religious activities continued but without the covering of Yahweh. So it will be with NCCG.
So I am here to tell you that a theological and organisation entity called 'NCCG' will continue to exist but the spiritual covering and the Sukkot life will not be in it. It will not represent the core of what we actually are. It will continue to serve as a stepping stone, to some extent, for those seeking but not necessarily finding the way all at once. It has its 'spirit' to be sure but it is already very different from the one Yahweh is pouring upon us right now. And those who remain in NCCG without moving into Mishpachah Gan Lev-Tsiyon will not understand, any more than the rest of Christendom, what is going on, though being as it was the fullness of Shavu'ot, they will have some hints.
A week-and-a-half ago many things happened here. I have already told you about the tent being dismantled. For those who remain they will discover that their anointing is gradually lifted from them until it has gone altogether. It will also mean a loss of a degree of spiritual protection. This particular tent, incidentally, which was in a part of my garden not connected to the rest, will also disappear, and be transferred elsewhere. In addition to the vision of the tent, Yahweh showed me another vision. In it I was taken into a room crammed full of books from floor-to-ceiling on every wall, reminding me of one of my favourite second-hand bookshops in Guildford, England. As soon as it was presented to me, I knew Yahweh was telling me that this method of acquiring spiritual knowledge - through study - was now at an end (there wasn't a single place for another book, incidentally). So in a quick prayer I gave the room to Yah'shua (Jesus) and immediately all the books started vanishing - first a few, then dozens, and then hundreds of them, like popping balloons, and as they disappeared, the book cases went as well, leaving a completely bare room. Within a second a luxurious wall-to-wall red carpet with intricate patterning, appeared in the floor and the room, though empty, was nevertheless full of something invisible. It was a perfectly square room, a little higher than the larger room I was standing in viewing the changes.
Almost without pause, I was taken to yet another connecting room which was also a little higher than the previous one, separated from it by 2 or 3 steps. It too was crammed full of books like the previous one. Once again I gave the room to Yah'shua (Jesus) and once again the same process repeated, only faster this time - in 2 seconds all the books and shelves were gone and another carpet appeared. Neither rooms had had windows in them and the previous one remained windowless. Now as I looked at the blank wall of this second room, part of the wall began to change shape as though an invisible hand was restructuring part of the wall, leaving behind a perfectly square glass window. At once I was lifted off the floor and went flying through the window into a beautiful blue sky, higher and higher into the heavenlies. A little above me, and to the side, was an eagle, which I had seen previously in vision, and know that this was the Enemy seeking to stop me. At that point the vision ended and the sequence of other visions followed.
Now these rooms represent the Temple Holy Place and the Holy of Holies of the mind, the place where we study to learn. As you all know I was educated to be an academic and have applied my mind to the pursuit of truth since I was converted to Yah'shua (Jesus) back in 1977 and indeed before. In this the Ruach (Spirit) guided my steps for the 3-fold unfolding of this work in the Shavu'ot phase. Many thinkers have been attracted to this work, satisfied to find the theological harmony and completeness Yahweh has given us. And it is true that right thinking does form an important matrix for revelation, but it is not the end in itself, but an aid. The real life of the Gospel is experienced in the Heart, in the Garden of Yahweh. And it is in the Garden that the Tree of Life and the River of Life are located, not in the mind. So many Christians get stuck in the mind and never make essential heart-connections.
As we saw during Shemini Atsereth, the Gardern of Yahweh is a timeless one. Our own hearts and gardens are, as it were, juxtaposed between this world and its fixed time and the heavenlies where there is none. So we experience time in our hearts differently. Not until we have attained a certain depth of love, which in the Garden is represented and supplied by a red flower known as the 'Queen of the Grounds', can we freely move between our own gardens and the Garden of Yahweh, the original Eden. The lake of our own garden's love has to be deepened by our own committment and desire to seek the deepest love before we can truly enter into the eternities and into the highest heaven. This is not easy, and it costs you everything you have, but it is the only way to the fullness.
So it was that Yahweh showed me a vision of the River of Life which exists in my own heart and in the hearts of all true believers. This is not the River of Life in the Garden of Yahweh but the same river on a lower level and duplicated in the millions. What I saw greatly surprised me. I was standing in the air above the river and I saw that it was frozen. Instantly it was moving again as though there had been an instant transformation from mid-winter to summer. Then it froze again, and was moving again. I saw rain falling in it. Suddenly it was fast flowing, suddenly slow, and then frozen again for a split second, before once again moving on.
I was frankly amazed as I was watching this and not a little confused at first. Not until all the visions had passed and I had had time to think about them, did I get the understanding from the Ruach (Spirit). The flow of the River of Life through our heart is indexed to our love or lack of it. When our hearts grow cold because of sin, indifference, rebellion, carelessness, laziness, demonic deception, or whatever, the river suddenly freezes over and eternal life no longer moves through our garden. Then everything around us turns to winter. Indeed I saw a path in my garden covered in a thin layer of snow in one vision and then, instantly, it was as though it were mid summer again. The landscape of our garden changes as our attitudes change and as we respond, or fail to respond, to love. Some gardens turn into deserts if neglected and demons are allowed in to despoil. Some go to sleep as in winter while others are blossoming and are verdant with grass and covered in fruitful trees. The state of your garden is an index of the state of your soul and its right or wrong relationship to Yahweh and to others. A garden that has no people in it is not loving others but is absorbed with self. Our hearts may deceive us into believing that we do love others because of feelings we have but feelings are not love - feelings can be clothed by warmth, tenderness, selfishness, hate, or anything. Feelings are the clothes we wear to experience emotional content, but they are not love itself. And yet you cannot love and not feel, at least not in its outward manifestation in the psyche. Love in the ruach (spirit) itself is connected to faith-in-truth and is 'nailed to the mast' of our personality by the covenants we enter into and keep. We are justified by faith (Rom.3:28) and ultimately by actions or deeds (Jas.2:24), but it starts in faith, and faith is without feelings. Nevertheless it cannot stay there and live - for faith to live it has to find expression in the heart as feelings which lead to good works and obedience to Torah. There must ever be movement from the ruach (spirit), to the psychic life and thence to life in the outer world of matter and other people.
The last vision I saw (there were many others which I do not have the time or need to go into here) ended with a very narrow path. Along it were many people, some on foot and some in caravans. I was looking into the very near future and what I saw delighted me. It was wide enough at this stage only to accommodate up to two people walking side-by-side. I saw myself out in front, my hair a little greyer than it is today. Next to me was a mother pushing a pram with an infant in it radiating happiness and contentment. This was a long procession of people, those who belong to Mishpachah Gan Lev-Tsiyon. What it was heading toward I cannot say for certain as I was looking down the column of travellers and to the back, though I could not see it because ther column was so long. On either side was a beautiful garden, the garden I have seen so much of recently.
Some have been asking me what the change from NCCG to Mishpachah Lev-Tsiyon means practically. Do we all have to be rebaptised? Who are the leaders? What of the old Patriarchate? What happens to all the old NCCG congregations? What happens to the Chavurat Bekorot or Holy Order? I will try to answer some of those questions here.
As you know, Torah mandates that a woman getting married receives a ritual mikvah or batism to symbolise her departure from her old life and family and her new life into her new one. She is literally baptised into her husband. As I mentioned in an earlier sermon in this series, the children of Israel were baptised or immersed into Moses in the cloud and the sea (both representing the Ruach or Spirit) and, who was their spiritual father and prophetic leader. Throughout their wandering they drank from the Rock which was Christ (1 Cor.10:2-4).
Those who came to NCCG were baptised into the Godhead (Father, Son and Ruach haQodesh) and into the covenant which was NCCG, typified by the Patriarchate who were a type of Moses. In Mishpachah Gan Lev-Tsiyon converts to the Messiah are baptised into the Godhead and into Messianic Israel - the nation of Israel - and thereby become citizens of that nation by covenant. The term 'Messianic Israel' denotes, however, not just the nation, but the spiritual family and its head, the clan and its head, the tribe and its head, and the Prince of Israel, as Moses was. And thereafter the one baptised drinks from the Riach which is Messiah. We shall be talking more of the details of how this is done as Yahweh reveals it to us and whether rebaptism is needed or not.
Who are the leaders of Misahpachah Gan Lev-Tsiyon? They are the 12 tribal heads which are equivalent to the 12 apostles in NCCG and in the New Testament General Assembly. Of these in NCCG there was a Patriarchate consisting of three men and three women who were from no particular tribes, though the Presiding Patriarch was of Ephraim. In New Testament times all three presiding apostles (John, James and Peter) were from Judah as the 10 tribes were still scattered. Only Paul of the apostles was from Benjamin.
To understand how how the 12 will be organised in Mishpachah Gan Lev-Tsiyon you only have to look at the Camp of Israel as it was constituted in Torah. It was, as many of you know, arranged in four divisions or camps, each occupying a point on the compass. To the east was the presiding camp, with Ephraim-Joseph as the Head accompanied by Manasseh-Joseph and Benjamin. The Presiding Patriarch of Mishpachah Gan Lev-Tsiyon is the head of Epraim-Joseph, also known as the Prince of Israel, and the Second and Third Patriarchs are, respectively, the tribal heads of Manasseh and Benjamin. The other nine patriarch-apostles are the other tribal heads, with Judah in the east attended by Issachar and Zebulun, Reuben in the south attended by Simeon and Gad, and Dan in the north attended by Naphtali and Asher. From this we see that Dan, Judah and Reuben are also 'heads' of the remaining 9 tribes, heading groups of three, under the overall headship of the sons of Rachel.
Who, then, are the Presiding Matriarchs in this Mishpachah? This is a little different from the old NCCG pattern, which had 3 especially chosen women who need not have been wives of the presiding patriarchs. In the theocratic system of Israel these must be wives of the presiding patriarchs - the nation must have fathers and mothers from the same families. In this Mishpachah there may be up to 9 Presiding Matriarchs, no more than three from each of the Rachel tribal heads, three of whom preside over the nine. From the 12 tribes over all, there may be up to 144 matriarchs who preside over the daughters of Messianic Israel under their husbands and who act as the mothers of the nation.
As we are in our infancy, all this is somewhat academic. But we will grow fast now as more and more are inducted into the Garden of Yahweh through the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of Messianic Israel. For now there is only one tribal head whilst new young patriarchs are trained in the ways of Yahweh. NCCG will retain a Patriarchate consisting of the former Patriarchs and Matriarchs as they are needed. Doubtless new congregations of NCCG will form who will need some overall leadership.
Finally, a word about the Holy Order or Chavurat Bekorot which previously had the function of training up the priesthood officers of NCCG. This will continue to exist but in a new form. Previously it served as a kind of 'seminary' for pastors, elders and deacons, a function it will retain through the supply of study materials available through the internet or in printed format. But this will be much scaled down. Instead, all spiritual training will be in the Garden of Yahweh by Yah'shua (Jesus) face-to-face as has been happening these last few months, in addition to the formal theological training. The Order will then serve its original intended function as the fellowship of those operating in the revelation of Yahweh. The Order will be run by the Tribal Heads like the whole of this Mishpachah and will have as its function the responsibility of raising patriarchs and matriarchs of Messianic Israel. And whereas before instruction was through temple conventions and sessions alone, now it must first take place in the Garden of Yahweh and be taught by the Saviour Himself. Without this, noone can enter or remain in the Order. Until next week, Amen.
