In actual fact, Cleopas and his friends knew more than they had realised. Very often our mind and heart get out of sync - sometimes the head is ahead of the heart, and sometimes the other way round. When Yahweh witnesses to a soul who is open to the truth, He witnesses to every part of your being. Our Heavenly Father wants to do a thorough job - He wants you to really know the Truth - all of it, in fact. So don't accept anything less that "all truth" but be patient if it is not served to you on a platter. As in any journey, sometimes obstacles (like unbelief) have to be removed out of the Way first. So what happened to Cleopas and his companion that witnessed to their hearts too?

"They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"" (Luke 24:32, NIV)

Their hearts were burning with the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) as Yah'shua (Jesus) interpreted the Scriptures to them. This is the fourth of seven openings, all of which are important. Be careful, though. There are false witnesses of the Gospel (like Mormons) who lay emphasis on spiritual "burnings" of the bosom but who neglect the other six. Jehovah's Witnesses focus on the second opening (Scripture study) but neglect the others and waylay people that way too. For "all truth" to be known there must be a complete witnesses. Many are convinced of the truth of Yah'shua (Jesus) who are not delivered from their spiritual problems. Intellectual knowledge and pleasant emotional feelings do not set a soul free - there must be a genuine liberation throughout the whole being of the soul: opening the prison door within is essential so that captives can be set free.

I myself have experienced the burning of the heart many times as the Ruach (Spirit) witnessed to me and when I was born again my whole heart was set ablaze with spiritual fire! This was not s small thing for me. I had previously been a very dispassionate intellectual and the effect of this opening was to radically change my personality for the better. To be accurate, I was set free inside to begin a new and exciting journey of discovery and to find Life itself.
