    There's a New Age Coming

They say that the New Age is upon us. New Age celebrities like Shirley MacLaine to John Denver encourage us to just tap into our hidden potential: "You can be whatever you want to be."

Do you seek harmony in your life? Do you have unfulfilled potential? Do you yearn for global peace? Would you like to be spiritually in touch?

Of course -- we all do. But something basic is missing in the New Age gospel.

The god they talk about is not the Elohim (God) of the Bible. He is not all-powerful, all-knowing, righteous and holy. He is not personally concerned with you and me. No, the New Age god is an impersonal energy force that is in each of us; "You are God," they say.

And what do they say about the mess our world is in? "We're just ignorant of our full potential." "We need expanded consciousness." But they avoid coming to grips with the root of the human problem: sin.

People don't like to talk about sin. It's unfashionable. But the results of our selfishness are all around us. War. Crime. Shattered dreams. Broken homes. Loneliness. Boredom. Our whole world is out of step with Yahweh and His plans for peace and harmony.

There can be no new age without a revolution of the human heart. The problem is too deep. We live in a fallen world in which we are all born handicapped with a sin nature. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of Elohim (God)" (Romans 3:23).

Yahweh sent His Son to solve our dilemma: Elohim (God) so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in His shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

On the Cross Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) broke the power of sin over us so that you and I would not have to spend eternity separated from Yahweh. Now He offers to set us free from the guilt and penalty of our sins. The invitation is open. The choice is ours.

There is a new age coming for those who have accepted Yah'shua's (Jesus') offer. One day all the things that are killjoys now will be no more -- selfishness, hatred, death -- all will be gone. There will be no hunger, no poverty, no fear, no loneliness.

Until that day Yah'shua (Jesus) wants to begin His Kingdom in our hearts. Right where you are now you can invite Him to reign in your life by praying something like this: "Father, I know that I have sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe that Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) died for my sins and rose from the dead. By faith, I invite Him to be my Saviour and Master."

If you have sincerely trusted Yah'shua (Jesus), you have begun a new life in touch with Yahweh. We would be glad to offer you further help.
