Opening the Mind of Understanding (Binah)

You would think that so many supernatural happenings, revelations and realisations would be enough but Yahweh wants to reveal more to many when they are gathered. He speaks to you, alone, in the tomb of your spiritual imprisonment first, and may then speak to one or two of you together afterwards. But His greatest desire is that there should be a mystical union or oneness between believers that is deep and meaningful, a oneness that scripture calls, in Hebrew, echad. It's the word that descibes the unity between the members of the Godhead - the Father, Son and Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit).

"While they were still talking about this, Yah'shua (Jesus) himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at My hands and My feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have." When He had said this, He showed them his hands and feet. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, He asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and He took it and ate it in their presence. He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms." Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Messiah (Christ) will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high"" (Luke 24:36-49, NIV).

The clothing with power from on high refers to the Baptism of Fire or Baptism of the Holy Spirit which occurred later after He had ascended to heaven at Shavu'ot or Pentecost. Here Yah'shua is opening the disciples' minds again to the prophecies in the Old Testament - the Kitvei haQodesh or Holy Scriptures - underscoring their importance. With this anointing comes the ability to understand the Scriptures which are closed otherwise. With this revelation, everything starts fitting together and making greater and greater sense. This understanding, however, is given with a communal purpose - they disciples are to go out and witness of these things to unbelievers this time. Cleopas and companion witnessed to the apostles, now the apostles are to witness to the world.

I have been blessed to have the Scriptures opened to me too, like all born-again and anointed believers, and part of my witness is to be a teacher of them. That is what this web-site is partly about.
