Prophecy is a mark not only of the Bible but all true Bible-believing congregations. The Messianic Community (New Testament Church) established by Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) possessed its nevi'im (prophets) and nevia'ot (prophetesses). So too does His Remnant Community today. Where the gift of prophecy is absent so also is a major ministry essential for the Remnant's prosperity. Without it, Yahweh's people cannot live on the edge of revelation nor know what the Father's will is for them. Second-guessing is just not an acceptable way of running a ministry for Elohim's (God's) servants who must always know what to do and, when necessary, be warned beforehand of what is going to occur.
The gift of prophecy is not, however, a right. It is Yahweh who chooses, or does not choose, to reveal the future. We cannot demand to know. All true prophecy comes uninvited and unexpected. Though we should always be prepared to receive prophecy we have no business demanding Yahweh tell us what is to happen. He won't.
The New Covenant Assemblies of Yahweh have been a prophetic community since its inception. It has received prophecies about indivuals and about nations. We have witnessed such prophecies fulfilled time and time again so as to leave us in no doubt that this is a genuine gift of the Ruach (Spirit). Some still await future fulfilment.
You will read on this site some amazing modern prophecies that were fulfilled to the letter. Though the Bible is saturated with its own, many modern Christians/Messianics have rejected this spiritual gift, claiming that the day of prophecy, revelation, visions, dreams and the like is over. It isn't. In fact, it is a characteristic of Yahweh's end-time Remnant and was prophesied to be so by the navi (prophet) Joel. Ever since the great Nevi'im (Prophets) like Moses and John the Baptist, and ever since the Master Yah'shua (Jesus) made His first advent on the earth, His nevi'im (prophets) and neviaim (prophetesses) have never been silent. But many have been deaf, often willfully so.
We do not know why Yahweh has chosen to reveal the future of some people, churches and nations, and not others. We were told of the reunification of Germany and the disintegration of Yugoslavia at a time when both were, in the view of the contemporary political concensus, absurd suggestions. We were told of the demise of the Soviet Union and of the anarachistic conditions that prevailed. We were told the outcome of the first Gulf War when it started at a time when many Christians were wildly speculating that it was the beginning of the Battle of Armageddon. It wasn't, and we knew it, and we told people so. We were also warned in a prophetic dream of the second attack in 1999 on Iraq and of its outcome - we announced it a fortnight before it happened on our Scandinavian Homepage and it happened just the way Yahweh said it would.
On one or two occasions we were told of an imminent event but not precisely when and we made the mistake of trying to calculate the hour. It wasn't to be. Prophecy doesn't work like that and we learned to present prophecy as we received it, and no more. It has been a learning experience for us.
When NCAY was first organised and the first Scandinavian congregation was assembled in Norway the founder was told of all those who were in a particular gathering who would fall away and who would not.
Some prophecy is shrouded in mystery and can only be interpreted by those given the keys to do so by the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit). Sometimes we have received prophecies that we have not understood until as much as one or decades later. Sometimes it has meant waiting for a new member with the gift of inpterpretation to explain it. However light has been shed on a prophecy, we have learned that prophecy, like Scripture generally, is "not by any private interpretation" but only by the "will of Elohim (God)" and "according to the Ruach (Spirit)".
There are a good many prophecies on this site and you will be able to select the ones that interest you. Not all NCAY's prophecies are here, however, as some of them we are not allowed to make public. It must also be remembered that some prophecies are given to push the nevi'im (prophets) to intervene in prayer. Sometimes they are not supposed to be fulfilled but may be described as 'open propehcies', conditional upon human action, such as Ezekiel's temple. Though Elohim (God) knows the outcome He does not always reveal it to His nevi'im (prophets) but shows them only one possible outcome.
At the turn of the 20th century a Norwegian Christian was given stunningly accurate prophecies about the First and Second Word Wars that were fulfilled minutely. Yet he also received a prophecy about the Third World War that was not fulfilled in the 1950s as originally given. Why? Because, it is claimed, Norwegian Christians, knowing well about the First and Second World War prophecies, went into ACTIVE INTERCESSORY PRAYER to prevent another fresh outbreak of war engulfing their nation. At the time Stalin was planning an invasion of Western Europe, but the Soviet dictator suddenly died (due, it is believed, to poisoning) and war was averted.
These things need to be born in mind when dealing with prophecy which can sometimes be misunderstood. Some prophecy is unconditional and simply reveals what will happen no matter what, and some is conditional with 'loose ends', as it were, given to prompt Christians and Messianics to go into intercessory prayer. The navi (prophet) Jonah was told to prophesy the destruction of Nineveh but the people (to his great surprise) repented and the prophecy was stayed. He was none too pleased. Similarly, wrongly motivated or poorly focussed Christians and Messianics can walk away disappointed when certain kinds of prophecy do not end up the way they expect or want.
Prophecy holds many surprises. It is a great emunah (faith) booster for those who already have emunah (faith), but for those who do not and are simply seeking signs to create emunah (faith), prophecy will never satisfy them - they will always find an excuse not to believe. It is the same with miracles or anything supernatural. Prophecy never was the catalyst that turned scepticism into true belief. So we warn against people reading this page coming here for the wrong motives.
If you are coming to this website out of idle curiosity or because of personal ambition for power and influence over people, leave immediately. This site is not for you.
If you are coming to understand, or to mature in the gift of understanding prophecy, with a view to bringing honour and glory to Yahweh-Elohim and His Son Yahs'hua the Messiah
(Jesus Christ) and not yourself, then welcome.
