Beliefs in a Nutshell

Alcohol: As a Royal Priesthood of Believers in Temples of flesh, believers should abstain totally

Angels: Yahweh's messengers, both spiritual as well as substantial

Apostolic: All the New Testament officers are needed and present including apostles

Authority: Not legalistic but based on the presence and power of the Ruach (Spirit) only

Baptism: By complete immersion upon profession of belief and evidence of the New Birth

Bible Translations: Many are used but the HRV (Hebraic-roots Version) and ISRV (Instutute for Scripture Research) are preferred

Body of Christ: All true believers without reference to denominational divisions

Cities of Refuge: Gatherings of believers for safety during times of persecution

Communitarianism: Gathering into communities of spiritually maturer families and members

Covenants: Essential for spiritual growth and administered at different levels

Demons: Real entities (like Satan) that harrass even believers when they are disobedient

Deity of Messiah: Yah'shua has always been Elohim (God) but subordinate to El (Yahweh)

Divine Names: The Hebrew Yahweh (mandatory), Yah'shua, Elohim and Master (preferred)

Ecumenism: Sounds good in word but always results in watering down the Gospel

Evangelical: We are commissioned to preach the salvation of Yah'shua as the #1 priority

Firstborn: A title of the Messiah and a term for members living communally under covenant

Gifts of the Ruach (Spirit): All, including prophecy, dreams, visions, revelation, exorcism

Heaven: A literal place and inner condition - at least 3 if not more heavens

Hebraic-roots: The superiority of the Hebrew/Aramaic New Testament MSS over the Greek

Hell: A literal place as well as an inner condition - not a place you would want to go to

Holiness: Purity and obedience to the commandments is mandatory

Israel: All true believers, not the modern Republic of Israel

Johannine Communion: The weekly Lord's Supper as opposed to the annual Pesach (Passover) meal

Kosher Food: Yahweh's biblical dietary laws, obligatory on all, given for good health

Love: the first fruit of true Faith, but it is always defined by Truth

Messianic-Israelite: The restoration and unification of the 12 Tribes (not Messianic Judaism)

New Birth: Baptism by fire which distinguishes nominal from born-again believers

Once Saved, Always Saved?: Doctrine rejected as false - believers can and do fall away

Orthodox Creeds: Only the Apostles' Creed is accepted, the rest regarded as speculative

Pantheism: One of Satan's big lies - we are not God or part of Him, but separate

Patriarchal: The husband is head of the home and men lead congregations

Pre-Existence: We all existed before we were born on earth like the angels

Priesthood of all Believers: Everyone is called to priesthood (Deacons or Elders)

Rapture: No secret pre-trib rapture - all pass through the Tribulation

Religion: Man's dead-end way of getting right with Yahweh - it doesn't work

Reincarnation: One of Satan's big lies - we are incarnated only once on earth

Resurrection: Literal and physical, of which there are at least 4 types, happens only once

Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit): Female, our Heavenly Mother (7-fold)

Sabbatarian: The 7th Day (Saturday) is Yahweh's correct day of rest, not the 1st day (Sunday)

Salvation: By faith alone but the fruits and evidence are Torah obedience

Saint: A born-again believer committed through covenants and obedience to holiness

Sanctification: Gradual, not instantaneous, requiring 7 overcomings, life-long process

Satan: Fallen archangel, the Adversary, real name Heylel ('Lucifer'), liar and deceiver

Scriptures: Infallible in the original Hebrew and Aramaic (but not Greek) autographs

Spirit Guides: Demons masquerading as benevolent forces

Sex: Strict celibacy before marriage and felicity within the marriage covenant

Sha'ul (Paul): Accepted as a true apostle - Ebionite heresy rejected

Smoking: A pollutant and carcinogenic drug, inconsistent with Christian behaviour

Sola Scriptura: Only the Protestant Bible is our rule and primary canonical text

Temple: Formerly a place for sacrifices, today our physical bodies which must be kept pure

Tongues: Supernatural gift to speak foreign languages - not babbling - gift of some only

Truth: Cannot be compromised because it defines Reality, and Yahweh is Ultimate Reality

Women: Are ministers like the men but have different specialised rôles

Worldliness: Compromising with it is an invitation to self-destruction

Yah'shua (Jesus): He is the only way back to our Heavenly Father

Yahweh's Festivals: All 7 (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles) no pagan ones (e.g. Christmas, Halloween)
